In the world of wine there are few importers that have reached the pinnacle as renowned arbiters of quality growers. The most instantly recognizable would be the legendary Kermit Lynch, who brought to light many of the amazing old world growers that are now household names for wine lovers. Very few importers have followed with such recognition for high level of quality that Kermit Lynch has garnered. Grand Cru Selections happens to be one of, if not the, most esteemed to come about in the past 3 decades.

Grand Cru Selections was founded by Robert Bohr and Ned Benedict in 2009 after both spent their careers buying and selling wine in New York City’s most esteemed restaurants and retailers. Robert and Ned found a kindred love of old world wines from inimitable growers that they had become familiar with in their careers in hospitality and sales. It was this love and their reverence for these growers that drove them to embark on what seemed like a herculean effort at the time, but has since blossomed into one of the most reputed import companies in the country.

Based out of New York City they have grown their small stable of vigneron into one of the true power houses of Great Old World (and a few new world) growers. Their portfolio contains some of the most amazing wines from across Europe and now the globe. Their passion for the wines of Burgundy and Champagne are glaringly obvious, but their love of small undiscovered growers has allowed them to expand to offer a wide array of spectacular offerings from some of the most exciting new producers striking out on their own new endeavors.

Their wines are only available nationally in less than 30 states, and they offer a murderers’ row of legendary producers to go hand in hand with their new found gems. 

With all that being said, it has been nothing but a privilege to steward these to market, and share them with you all. Whether it’s prestige Burgundy, Grower Champagne, or your new favorite Loire producer, we have done our best to champion Grand Cru Selections, and hope we can share many more with all of you in the foreseeable future.
